I don’t know about you guys but I’m sick and tired of some of the local media demeaning the beautiful game. Steve Lamb of WBAP takes every opportunity to show his ignorance of the sport and actually brags about it and wears it as a badge of honor. I let him and any one in the national media know how I feel. Am I alone? Will no one join me? Walter

Yeah, that reminds me of the Chicago Fire vs. Chivas USA game where Jeremy St. Louis interviewed Chivas USA midfielder Jesse Marsch after the game. It should be noted that Chivas won 1-0 and Jesse traded jerseys with a Fire player. Anyway, St. Louis asked Marsch about his reaction to his team’s loss to which Jesse replied, “Ummm…. we won.” The look Jesse gave was of utter disbelief and ridicule. He even laughed at St. Louis’ mistake on air.

Maybe they just meant “9 goals in the last two LEAGUE games”? And I don’t know about the Bobby Rhine statistic, but it could be the same sort of misspeak.
I don’t get the Fox Soccer Channel, so I don’t especially know what I’m talking about.

GOL TV is alot better. its in spanish and english. so you dont have to worry.

the only downside is that they dont have SERIE A anymore. and the teams you get to see in the EPL is Arsenal & Liverpool.

I think that the MLS announcers are terrible, they dont know any players and have no clue what they are talking about half the time. I dont watch the MLS because im not a fan, but FSC has really screwed up with liscenses. EPL games and the occasional lower league Serie A game is a far cry from thre or four years ago where there was Bundesliga, Brasilero, Argentine Apetura and Clasura and Ligue 1/La Liga plus the EPL. I guess the only thing that keeps me watching is the Fox Sports Report. Its a good show, they dont always get enough highlights but they are still pretty good, and Bobby McMahon is great.

I’ve given up being too nit picky with them. When Celtic came to town, there were so many factual errors that it was insane, but I’d rather have a flawed FSC than no FSC at all. I used to hate Max Bretos as an announcer, and now that I have lowered my expectations, I think that he and Christopher Sullivan actually do a pretty good job.
