Look up ‘Terrible’ in the dictionary

By: Robert | May 19th, 2008

It didn’t take long for the people over at dictionary.com to add to their definition of “terrible…”

It’s in there…

Ugh, we suck. There’s no other way to put it than to compile a list of movies I’d rather watch again on an endless loop for a week, than any 10mins of that monstrosity ever again…

1. The Punisher (the one with Dolph Lundgren)
2. Captain America (the 1990 movie…that sucked)
3. Red Eye
4. Wuthering Heights (the 1939 classic, not the remake, I never saw the remake)
5. Shaft in Africa
6. Bulletproof
7. Any Nic Cage movie that’s not The Rock, Con Air or Face Off.
8. Showgirls edited for TV, the nakedness make it somewhat watchable…somewhat.
9. Stealth
10. Glitter, Honey, Swordfish, etc… any movie I’ve gone to see because of a very attractive female star…I always regret it and I’ll probably do it again.

Yeah, it was that bad of a performance.

Tonight in Dallas the FC stands for “freaking calamity.”

I know my photoshop skills are terrible at best. If there was someone to do my pictures for me I’d be all for it but there’s no money in the offside’s budget for that…someone needs to ask Laurie or Daryl to remedy that situation.

Also, I think the bigger tragedy is that I keep going to see Nic Cage movies thinking I’ll enjoy it and being continually let down (National Treasure, The Wicker Man, The Weather Man, Lord of War, Matchstick Men, Gone in Sixty Seconds)…that may be worse than my Glitter/Honey/Swordfish trifecta.

What do you think was the reason behind this terrible performence if anything I thought you would break from the pack and stride with us this year win for win but a 5-1 whopping to the Galaxy doesn’t exactly leave a great taste in your mouth.

Well Juan Toja has been MIA all year, to the point that ESPN has even noticed (which means its quite evident).

Arturo Alvarez must have thought that two or three strong games out the gate would show Peter Nowak how dumb he was for cutting him and has seemingly forgotten about the rest of the season.

I also dont think Steve Morrow has told his team that they are much better playing the ball on the ground and putting passes together. They’re not a long ball team and dont have long ball players. Even though every soccer commentator on TV talks about Kenny “Please watch my Messi impersonation” Cooper.

The defense hasn’t been too bad, 5 goals not withstanding. But scoring 2 goals over the past 4 games is unacceptable.

Robert might I say that your posts make me laugh so hard at times that my face falls off. Strangely enough my face also falls off every time I do jumping jacks. Curse you re-constructive surgery…curse you! Please keep your delightful posts coming.

The problem that I see is that we don’t have an offensive leader in the midfield. Our attacking midfielder (Toja) had his greatest success and the start of last season when he was playing more of a holding role. He has never been a fantastic passer of very creative on offense. This team has never recovered from the failure of Ramon Nunez to mature and be the number 10 that this team needed. They tried to fill the void with Denilson, and that was a complete abortion. This team will not have success until they find a fit in central midfield.
