I really do like this new Nike campaign “My Better is better than your Better.” Makes me wanna get out there and prove some people wrong. But in watching this spot I realized that Nike has been punked. Check the: 35 mark, we see the back of a then unknown athlete running down a hall, the camera then turns around and reveals said athlete is…LANDON DONOVAN!
Yes, Mr. Bianca Kajlich is in a commercial showcasing his desire to be better. The same clown who was twice given a shot with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and gave up when things got too hard is promoting giving it your all to be better. If this isn’t the definition of “do as I say, not as I do” I don’t know what is.
Hey Landon if you wanna be better, grow a pair; if not leave the acting to your wife. She would look better in this picture anyways.
Landon is a punk and in Dallas whenever he’s involved the FC stands for “forget congeniality.”

I’ll be honest I can’t give you an unbiased opinion on Landon Donovan because to me he’s a bum, a coward and a jerk who really can’t play that well anyway. He may not even be in MLS because he’s afraid of Europe he may just not be good enough for Europe. The clown is overrated.
Hopefully someone else can give you a more thoughtful, nuanced and even handed reply to your question because I can’t and won’t even try to.
Landon sucks.

As a Galaxy fan I cannot stand the guy either. I am hoping his “knee injury” is not a way to escape Ruud’s actual conditioning, we all know how much Landon likes European conditioning and style of play. Dude is a washup he sees Altidore and Adu and knows he cannot compete. US Soccer props him up instead of Altidore and Adu. There is about ten fowards and midfielders in MLS alone I would pick ahead of him. All a team needs is one maybe two fast defenders and they can stop him. He has no ability to beat anyone solo and his left foot finishing is well embarrassing to watch at times. Oh by the way Pescado looks fit, he does not look like i do in a uniform anymore and he’s finishing very well. Thanks we appreciate over here in Beckhamville.

I’ve always understood that Ruiz to LA deal. Sometimes you need addition by subtraction. But its going to be one of the harder things to watch this year as Beckham gives Carlos all the chances he needs. I really wouldn’t be shocked if he makes a run at 30 goals for the year.

Sorry ’bout it, but Landon Donovan holds the US scoring record, has more MLS titles under his belt (3) than FC Dallas (wait, is that still ZERO? With ZERO MLS Cup appearances? AWWWW! How cute!), and can still take over a game at any point (i.e. when the Galaxy lit you guys up in the Superliga match last year). So before you go ahead and start talking smack on Donovan and the Galaxy, remind yourselves that you’re FC Dallas fans and that you haven’t won anything significant yet, and won’t win anything as long as you have Kenny Cooper as your striker.
