“Got me turnin left”-Sammy Hagar-Chickenfoot
By: Scott | June 24th, 2009Cause I couldnt think of anything left to write about this team. Everytime that I would sit down and try to write something good about this team they would go and screw it up for me. Tonight was no exception. For months we have had swiss cheese for a defensive line. Tonight they got alot of help from the midfield for 3/4 of the game and we looked good. Dax made several awesome defensive plays before the half. We were getting some great looks at the goal…..then just on cue after the half we played like crap. Now mind you going into a place like Colorado and coming out with just one point would be good for most teams. But we need better than that. We need all the points that we can get…on the road….at home…..
Schellas needs to decide whether he is going to make a run at the playoffs this year or try and bring along the talent that he has for next year. This practice of subbing at the half is enough to pull my hair out. How can he expect any player to make an impact on the game right away starting at the half? Why even start his sub? Tonight it was Cunny for Shea. What was the point of that? It worked against Columbus sure but Cunny was having a much better game tonight than he did on Sat. Now tonight he make the same move and it takes 10-15 minutes for Shea to get into the flow of the game. Another sub wasted. Then gee lets compound the error and again sub Avila with 10-20 minutes left in the game. It worked once why not see if sun shines on a dogs butt more than once in its life.
In the end Schellas has to decide what is happening with this team. Sure we have had a TON of injuries this year but lets figure out what we are going to do. Lets be realistic. Last year we tore apart the line up when the bus driver took over. Lets quit running around in circles and make a plan. Cause if this organization has a plan I am failing to see it.
