How to win friends and influence people by Schellas….aka how not to utilize your resources
By: Scott | January 22nd, 2009Someone once told me that good coaches find players to fit their system…great coaches find a system to fit their players. Unfortunately this lesson has been lost on the bus driver. We now have a great player sitting at home in Dax because Schellas cant find away to get through to this young player. So instead of inviting him to camp and maybe trying to take advantage of a resource that he has he is going to get nothing for a player that doesnt want to be here anymore. What coach in their right mind will give FCD what Dax is really worth right now? Everyone knows that he doesnt want to be here and that the coach doesnt want him here. The only offer that they are going to get for him are going to be low balls in the dirt.
So far this preseason we have taken one step forward and one step back. We add a great player in DVB and lose a potential great player that could have partnered with him in the midfield.
sigh its going to be a long season….

Yes Dave he would. When he would get into games last season there was a spark that lifted the team on several occasions. He has that intangible on the team that the bus driver isnt taking into account. Of course hes going to have a bad attitude when the coach brings in a pet and he goes from being a pretty regular starter to riding the bench. What is going to be interesting to see is if the midfield is left lacking like it was last season is the change in attitude from the bus driver.
